Job Overview:
The Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Coordinator I acts as an intermediary between the Operational and Clinical Departments (Hospital and Medical Group) and the Central Business Office (CBO) to identify, resolve and monitor issues as it relates to the performance of the Revenue Cycle. This role is responsible for monitoring Revenue Cycle established goals and participating in the achievement of strategic goals of the revenue cycle as well as for motivating Operational and CBO leads to achieve these goals and maintain best practice in process. Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Coordinator I uses the basic understanding of Revenue Cycle to perform job duties and may need some guidance as they learn the appropriate options available to address unusual situations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 1-3 years experience in healthcare operations or accounting/financial practices.
- Proficient in all MS Office Products
- Basic MS Excel skills required
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Preferred:
- BA/BS in business, technology or related concentration preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the timely communication and implementation of new and/or improved changes or initiative.
- Awareness of overall A/R strategy, management, staffing, process changes, and technology changes, etc. Communicate the Revenue Cycle impact of any proposed or planned changes
- Interact with stakeholder on all levels.
- Interact with stakeholder on all levels (C-Suite, middle management, line level staff) as needed to drive Revenue Cycle improvement
- Work in partnership with leaders across the Revenue Cycle.
- Resolve issues affecting the Revenue Cycle performance. Utilizes all appropriate resources to address issues, solve problems, and drive improvement
- Assist the Revenue Cycle leadership with action plans.
- Achieve and sustain KPI improvements. Utilize key performance data (denials, claim edits, errors, etc.) to provide feedback to Operations related to recurring issues to address required training and process improvement needs
- Perform detail audits of Revenue Cycle outcomes.
- Identify root cause trends and facilitate the implementation of action plans
- Prepare documentation and serve as the subject-matter expert.
- Facilitate one-on-one or group training, meetings, and group sessions on key Revenue Cycle subjects. Serve as manager of projects for system or process implementations.
