Exercise Specialist

Job Overview

Plan and implement treatment in coordination with multidisciplinary team for all scopes of Cardiac patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology required
• one to three years of clinical Experience

Preferred

Certifications and Licenses required (if applicable)

• Certification preferred (ie ACSM, ACE-Clinical Specialist, NSCS, Clinical Exercise Physiology).
• ACLS and BLS certified

Essential Functions

• Performs exercises instructions to all cardiac Performs exercises instructions to all cardiac patients.

• Assures that the fitness equipment is well maintained and minimizes down

• Demonstrates the ability to identify what the patient s/ members
• Demonstrates the ability to identify what the patient s/ members educational needs are.
• Educates internal and external customers on the practice & guidelines of Educates internal and external customers on the practice & guidelines of Cardiovascular disease, rehabilitation, exercise prescription and admission process. Monitors adequate and appropriate patient exercise Monitors adequate and appropriate patient exercise sessions/treatments.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary patient/member teaching Participates in the interdisciplinary patient/member teaching process.
• Perform clinical exercise prescription for monitor/non monitored cardiac Perform clinical exercise prescription for monitor/non monitored cardiac rehab patients.
