Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Operating Room Per Diem

JOB SUMMARY

The Physician Assistant Provides pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care, under the direction and supervision of the attending surgeon and in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the state Physician s Assistant Act. Participates in student and patient education.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant program

current and active Physician Assistant licensure by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.

BLS and ACLS Certification

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in the management of patients with Open Heart Surgery highly desirable.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Goal and outcome oriented

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
