About Group Finance
In joining RWS’s Finance team you will be a critical part of supporting a listed world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services. Job Purpose
In this role you will support the Master Data team in the creation and maintenance of Master Data that is required for finance processes and is leveraged by cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Collections, and Reporting. The role requires working closely with both Finance process users and everyday system users to create and maintain data at the expected service and quality levels.
Key Responsibilities

Work with Accounting, Customer, Supplier & Vendor Master Data
-
Collate and action requests for data creation and maintenance
-
Maintain chart of accounts (including GL, cost centres and entities), other accounting master data objects, customer records and contracts data
-
Perform Master Data tasks with accuracy and completeness, for example, to always enter and maintain complete and comprehensive details in the systems

Provide inputs for required standard data documentation e.g., data dictionaries

Convert data sources to standard formats

Create standard reports and visualisations, as required
-
Follow ways of working and apply instructions / guidelines to remediate business and/or technical issues

Collaborate with cross-functionals teams across various levels
-
Establish stable working relationships within Master Data team and with other departments/team members to ensure smooth ways of working and delivery of Master Data activities

Fulfil data needs of other teams and seek to respond / create solutions in a timely manner
-
Collaborate with Finance process owners to adapt best practices and standards
-
Collaborate with IT and Data & Analytics teams on data structures and data strategy
-
Collaborate with other stakeholders to provide required data points
-
Ensure data compliance & integrity
-
Complete all required training and adhere to company compliance policies & procedures
-
Abide by data quality audits, policies, and procedures for good organisational data health
-
Provide inputs for frequent and accurate reporting on data input, cleansing and maintenance activity to accurately monitor implementation of Master Data maintenance strategy and compliance with company policies and regulation

Apply data quality control
-
Run reports to assess data quality and contribute to any testing & development in support of data quality improvement initiatives

Validate data integrity during any data transformation and loading activities
-
Analyse and monitor business processes that create erroneous data to support remediation of issues

Operate in line with robust and effective internal controls across all master data processes
Skills & Experience
-
Advanced Excel skills to process data and perform analysis, with a proven aptitude to interpret financial data
-
Ability to collect, process, prioritise and action a large volume of requests and transactions in an organisation’s Master Data systems
-
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
-
Effective communication and collaboration skills to capture requirements and feedback regular updates
-
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with a proactive approach, accustomed to working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality of work
-
Basic data literacy and knowledge of core finance systems, ERP, and integrations
-
Basic understanding of Master Data management business processes
-
Ability to liaise with business stakeholders independently and/or in groups to develop new master data elements
Beneficial to have:

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Finance, or Accounting

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
