Position Summary:

The primary focus for a Campus Recruiter will be hiring for our entry level/new career positions as well as our internship programs. Responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment cycle: from building a campus talent pipeline, assessing whether they will be a cultural fit, through the offer stage. This position will require travel and attendance at career fairs and networking events at universities and building relationships with partner schools year-round.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage full cycle recruiting efforts for internship, RS University and early career roles across Ryan Specialty.
  • Take ownership of the entire candidate experience from initial engagement through offer stage.
  • Develop creative and innovative sourcing strategies that attract talent and focus on diversity initiatives.
  • Consult with production teams on their staffing needs relating to potential entry level hires.
  • Manage regular communication with college student talent community.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for potential hires/ candidates/ interviewers.
  • Coordinate marketing and advertising collateral to distribute at campus events.
  • Grow and develop a network of key contacts at community colleges, colleges, universities, WSIA and other associations to help introduce and develop Ryan Specialty opportunities.
  • Participate in virtual, on and off-campus events including but not limited to company presentations, career fairs, on campus interviews, and early engagement opportunities nationwide.
  • Engage alumni in connecting with student organizations and in attending relationship driven networking events outside of career fairs.
  • Build and nurture long term relationships with internal and external influencers and stakeholders.
  • Regularly report progress on candidate pipeline, hiring goals and recruiting trends.
  • Up to 35% travel required.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3-5 years corporate recruitment experience or relevant industry experience on an insurance brokerage or underwriting team.
  • Property and Casualty experience preferred.
  • A proven record of success in talent attraction.
  • A broad understanding of recruitment laws and practices.
  • Experience managing and planning multiple events.
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment often with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with hiring managers and applicants.
  • Proficient knowledge and skill level required in use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organization and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Language:

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and follow directions. Must be able to read and interpret business reports and to make independent decisions. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written with staff and candidates at all levels required.


Abilities:

Must demonstrate teamwork and the ability to develop productive relationships with candidates, peers and management. Must be an organized, self-starter with the ability to multi-task a variety of assignments/projects seeing each to resolution. Must have the ability to work well under pressure, be able to set and re-establish priorities in workflow as business needs change and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency. Effective time management with the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, team based work environment, as well as Project management skills including design, planning, implementation and evaluation. Must be able to work with sensitive information while maintaining the utmost confidentiality. Must demonstrate a commitment to outstanding client service. Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot issues with emphasis placed on satisfying the customer. Company minded with the ability to convey a positive and professional image of the office and the organization and the ability to interact with all employee and candidate levels as well as internal and external clients.
