What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Licensing Administration position at Ryan Specialty, LLC?

Position Summary:

The Licensing Coordinator on the licensing team will be responsible for assisting all employees who work for Ryan Specialty Group, LLC with all licensing related questions and assistance in obtaining and renewing individual and entry licenses. The licensing department is a fast paced department requiring exceptional multi-tasking skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate information on applications to verify completeness and accuracy to determine whether applicants are qualified to obtain desired licenses.
  • Process new or renewed licensure and update licensing information for RSG employees who have an insurance agent, broker, surplus lines broker or insurance agency license.
  • Notify agents of expired, missing, or additional information as needed.
  • Answer insurance licensing related questions from RSG employee’s and RSG contracted carriers/retail agents.
  • Utilize web-based document management system to organize, manage and transmit documents and maintain the online web database for all RSG employees and entities.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Ability to meet task deadlines.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willing to take initiative, exhibit creative thinking and take ownership of cases.
  • Self-starter attitude and strong desire to provide excellent results.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Prior experience with National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) a plus.
