The Manager, Procurement has accountability for the effective and efficient operation of Ryan’s global Procure-to-Pay (“P2P”) processes. The role involves a high degree of engagement with senior leaders. The scope of this position includes hands-on execution of sourcing events and oversight of end-to-end transaction activity. This position is responsible for prioritizing sourcing opportunities and process improvement initiatives. This role will require sourcing and procurement across multiple spend categories, including Business Development, Facilities, Finance, People Group, IT, and Travel. Duties and responsibilities, as they align with Ryan Key Results: People: Create a positive team member experience Provide management in administration of all components of P2P processing to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of purchases and payments Client: Work with stakeholders to define Ryan’s requirements for indirect goods & services Forge strong, consultative relationships with Business Development, Facilities, Finance, Legal, IT, and People Group Values: Establish appropriate contractual agreements and determine deal-specific supplier performance metrics; support Legal in finalizing and executing contracts Lead contract implementation efforts and monitor the performance of selected suppliers Identify and present solutions for continuous process improvements Execute sourcing strategies based on rigorous empirical analysis and company standards Use appropriate negotiating strategies to drive savings/performance improvement targets Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Seasoned procurement professional, self-directed and highly motivated with 5 years of experience in Procurement-related roles with an emphasis on indirect and professional services Demonstrable expertise in strategic sourcing, including contract negotiation and engaging senior internal stakeholders to define/balance requirements Experience collaborating across all departments, including Accounting, Facilities, Finance, IT, Legal, Marketing, and client-facing stakeholders Experience implementing a source-to-pay or procure-to-pay system Track record of successful P2P process and system improvements, including e-procurement and e-contract experience Preferred Education or Experience: MBA preferred, with a focus in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance Experience implementing internal procurement controls Expert user of a source-to-pay or procure-to-pay system, Concur Expense and Travel, Workday Finance, or Workday Sourcing Experience authoring and editing contracts Additional Education and Experience: Strong oral and written communication skills with superior interpersonal, facilitation, and change management Solid analytical abilities, including the ability to structure complex problems and create appropriate, fact-based solutions Detailed knowledge of sourcing, buying, payment, and travel best practices Proficient at managing multiple ongoing projects simultaneously Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced skills in Microsoft® Office Suite. Intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, and Internet navigation and research are also required. Concur Travel and Workday Financials experience preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: This may position may have supervisory responsibilities.
