Summary
Under general supervision, gathers, analyzes, and understands business needs and system design. Contributes to process improvement projects by employing six sigma and similar methodologies and analytics to accomplish measurable business process and data warehouse improvements. Communicates with users/business and IT staff to examine business requests, develop detailed requirements , and build process flow charts for the creation of applications, systems and enhancements. Participates and contributes to the development and recommendation of solutions and options that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and automation. Work with business users to build and test Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using available tools (Microstrategy, Power BI, Tableau). Profile data coming from source systems into the warehouse to determine anomalies, missing data and any other data issues. Plan and develop test scripts for user acceptance testing. Assist in training users on new and existing BI solutions. Identify performance issues in the BI solutions and communicate these issues to ETL or BI developers. Proficient to work in all aspects of analysis, process improvement methodologies. Proficient in various project management methodologies including Agile methodologies.
Essential Functions
- Liaison between the business and IT groups during the development and implementation of new business processes, new systems and enhancements to current ones. Identify and design business and system processes and procedures where aggregated and curated data can be imbedded to improve decision making.
- Understand and employs process improvement practices and techniques to assist in the analysis and implementation of recommended solutions (Six Sigma: DMAIC - define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and procedures.
- Records and updates business, functional and process requirements / specifications, for reports, processes, systems and applications.
- Create BI solution prototypes for business pilots and expand BI solution prototypes into full blown production solutions.
- Design, develop, and support interactive visual dashboards and reports, participates in review of developers’ designs to ensure best practices, identify and correct optimization opportunities, and update the team’s standards as opportunities are identified over time.
- Collaborate with the technical team, in any given solution development cycle, on data requirements such as data structure, data flow, dependencies, and data mapping.
- Assist in conducting feasibility and cost estimation to justify the recommended automation, solution or process improvement.
- Develop and deliver effective presentations

- Ability to write SQL queries to profile data and validate solutions delivered against data sources

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required Engineering, Business Process Improvement or Informatics
- One (1) year or more Business Analysis or Project Management required
- One (1) year or more Process Mapping required
- One (1) year or more Process Related standards required
- One (1) year or more Experience working with BI tools (Microstrategy, Power BI, Tableau or other tools) required
- One (1) year or more Using Agile methodology (Kanban, Scrum) preferred
- Business process improvement and analysis techniques beginner required
- Ryder business knowledge / practices / processes beginner preferred
- BI tools (Microstrategy, Power BI, Tableau) beginner required
- Understanding ETL processes and tools beginner required
- ETL tools (Informatica, IICS) beginner preferred
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market
data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or
certifications, etc.
The salary for this position ranges from $75,000.00 to $90,000.00. Employees may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, as applicable.
