Summary
The Director Technology Delivery is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS) IT solutions to internal business partners in support of external client needs in concert with the overall business and IT strategy. Serves as a liaison between GSCS IT and the GSCS business verticals. Has direct reporting relationship within IT to the Group Director, IT Business Partnership but will work closely with the SVP, VP, or GM of the GSCS business verticals.
Essential Functions
- Manage a team of IT specialists in support of the business vertical. Oversight and prioritization of workload regarding launches, change requests, and other work items
- Drives new business initiative analysis and overall project prioritization within the investment portfolio. Oversees launch activity ensuring timeliness, fiscal responsibility, and quality
- Sales role: Provide direct support and responsibility in landing new clients helping to increase revenue and profit by engineering the appropriate solution, facilitating the preparation of the cost estimates/RFX responses, and presentation of the IT portion of the Ryder response
- Collaborates with business partner senior leadership to identify strategic and innovative uses of technology to drive business growth and profitability. Acts as an adviser to the verticals on ways to exploit technology for competitive advantage
- Strengthen alignment between business partners and IT to ensure IT is seen as a true partner to the business. Improve accountability of the IT function to our business partners, increase responsiveness of IT to service demands
- Develops and monitors the approved annual operation and capital budgets for the IT solutions and projects supporting their business functions
- Decrease IT cost of delivery and raise quality for new client launches and existing client relationship

Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated executive level competencies; specifically leadership, communication, partnerships, process and change management into complex/matrix environments, and teamwork
- Strong business acumen: understands key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and revenue goals of an organization
- Demonstrated ability to challenge, convince, and manage stakeholders
- Experience in the sales process: RFx, bid response, cost model preparation, client presentation, and launch
- Experience with and deep understanding of related complex business processes
- Experience in project management of large and complex solutions
- Create and Manage Fiscal Budgets, Request for Capital Expense intermediate required
- Project Management advanced required
- Vertical Industry (Retail, Consumer Goods, Automotive, Technology, Healthcare) intermediate required
- Supply Chain Technology Applications (TM, DM, Integration, Demand Planning etc.) intermediate required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in computer science, business, or related field
- Ten (10) years or more in management required
- Four (4) years or more in logistics or supply chain required
- Four (4) years or more in Project Management required
- Three (3) years or more in vertical specific (Retail, Consumer Goods, Automotive, Healthcare, Technology) required
- Create and Manage Fiscal Budgets, Request for Capital Expense intermediate required
- Project Management advanced required
- Vertical Industry (Retail, Consumer Goods, Automotive, Technology, Healthcare) intermediate required
- Supply Chain Technology Applications (TM, DM, Integration, Demand Planning etc.) intermediate required
