Summary
Under general supervision, the IT Business Analyst for Technology Strategy & Governance will gather, analyze, and understand business needs and support the leadership team to improve current business strategies and operational tactics. The incumbent will contribute to transformation projects and collaborate with all technology segments to accomplish measurable process improvements through developing and managing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) across the technology organization. The ability to analyze disparate and complex sets of data and information will be required. Interacting with company leaders at all enterprise levels, including C-level and executive staff, in operationalizing strategy execution and long-term strategy planning. S/he will communicate with users/business and IT staff to examine business requests, interpret data, develop requirements, and build process flow charts to improve processes, systems, and enhancements. The Business Analyst will be critical in operationalizing Ryder’s technology strategy and governance framework, driving results management for IT and the business. The incumbent must bring a blend of communications, project management, and strategic thinking to key, high-visibility initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Liaison between the business and IT groups during the development and implementation of new business processes, new systems and enhancements to current ones. Identifies business and system processes and procedures needs.
- Employs process improvement practices and techniques to assist in the analysis and recommended solutions that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and procedures.
- Facilitates requirements by organizing gathering sessions and other related events. Examines and evaluates business needs/request to describe what the processes, systems, and service must do to fulfill the request.
- Records and updates business and functional requirements / specifications, whether for a report, system, or an application.
- Develops test plans and scripts for user acceptance testing. Assist in all user training activities.
- Assist in conducting feasibility and economic studies to justify the recommended automation or process improvement.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the expansion of strategy execution and the OKR framework, serving as a subject matter expert and mentor to educate and assist with program processes and improvements.
- Develop internal communications and strategy artifacts, ensuring communication is aligned with Ryder’s IT priorities.
- Workboard subject matter expert, responsible for assisting in strategy execution tool support and administration.
- Define and advance strategic objectives, measures, and targets.
- Report progress to strategy leadership and the executive team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Business, Business Process Improvement, Informatics or Engineering
- Three (3) years or more Business Analysis or Project Management experience required
- Three (3) years or more Experience in Systems Development and Project Management preferred
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Applicants from California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York City, and Washington: Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or certifications, etc.
The salary for this position ranges from $70,000.00 to $75,000.00. Employees may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, as applicable.
