SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for the administration of an effective quality program at a Ryder location. This includes management of the quality database, analyzing information, and developing/implementing/delivering safety and quality training.

While Quality is going to be the main focus, they will also be expected to assist with the Operation at times so the ideal candidate would have some operational experience.

Quality Analyst (Responsibilities)

QAC (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, audits)

QAC Presentation during P&G QAC Audit

Weekly & Monthly KPI reporting (Inventory, PPH, etc..)

Ownership of Ryder policy (creation, approval)

Food Defense (FDA)

OpsBox follow up and audits (weekly, monthly, and quarterly)

OpsBox weekly productivity follow up with GLM

Quarterly P&G QA Call (with GLM and P&G quality)

Recall/mock retrieval

Own training program

  • Associate training
  • Audits
  • Orientation's

Start safety investigation with on-shift supervisors

5S audit action item owner

Fill in for warehouse supervisor responsibilities

  • Vacation Coverage
  • Training
  • Misc. items

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage Account SCLM Repository

Map and document processes

Develop training material and systems to support Quality initiatives. Evaluate success of training program and make improvements where required

Perform Account Quality audits

Participate in continuous improvement projects. May lead projects as directed

Publish accurate Metrics to senior level management internally and externally to customer

Analyze and Root Cause Non-Conformances and Damage material

Assist with Steady State certifications

Assist with Quality Management review

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree Business, Logistics, Transportation, Industrial Engineering .

EXPERIENCE

Five (5) years or more experience 5 years work experience could be substituted for degree

SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion.

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in MS Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text. ; advanced level.

Proficient in MS Excel and Access, such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis; advanced level.

LICENSES

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt , preferred.
