Immediate opening for a SOLO Class B CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Elkridge MD

You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. 

$1300 or more per week - And it gets better

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $26.50 Per Hour to start and $27.00 after 90-days
• Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
• Overtime After 40 hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $35 per night with 1 to 2 nights per Week
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Safety Bonus: Pays You up to 5% Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Sign On Bonus: Pays you $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 4am - 530am

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities. 

• Deliver SOLO To: Eastern States
• Route: Local Home Daily
• Tractor Type: 26ft Box Truck
• Equipment: Carts, Hand Truck & Liftgate
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Touch – Pet Food

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
