What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soldering Technician position at ryzen?
- Rework or replace basic IC packages on PCBs (QFN, BGA, fine pitch soldering).
- Assist engineers in assembly of PCBs and populating sub-components for prototype modules.
- Setup EE lab workstation for HV (Hazardous Voltage) and LV (Low Voltage) use.
- Assist Engineering teams for debugging PCBAs (printed circuit board assemblies) and reworking/replacing electronic components, e.g., Resistor, capacitors, diodes, down to size 0201.
- Maintain and restock basic lab supplies for engineering use.
- Provide on-site technical support in the design and development.
Requirements:
- Preferred A.S. (Applied Science) in Electronic Technology or Higher Technical study and 2 years field experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent / Military experience with at least 4 years field experience.
- PCBA rework and fine pitch soldering skills at a proficient level are a must.
- Having advanced soldering and rework skills for IC packages (QFN, BGA, Fine Pitch or similar high-density packages).
- Experienced in working on a wide variety of PCBAs (HDI, HF, Single/Double or Multi layers).
- Demonstrated experience working with electrical schematics.
- Demonstrated experience working with EE bench test equipment (Oscilloscope, power supplies, multimeters, etc.).
- Professional attitude even under pressure is a must.
- You don’t have to comply all the requirement if you are willing to learn from your peers and seniors.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Having demonstrated experience in an R&D environment and collaboration with engineering teams is a plus.
- Certification is a plus (J-STD-001, IPC610, IPC620).
- Skilled in wire crimping and harness assembly is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience working with PCBs, design files, especially in Altium and Allegro, etc.
- Familiarity working with precision calibrated tools such as calipers, torque wrenches, electrical measurement equipment is a plus.
- Working with Enclosure assembly is a plus.
