QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Normally requires a technical degree and typically 5-10 years' related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the management and execution of project controls on assigned capital projects and has overall responsibility and accountability for the Project Controls function as it supports project related activities
The primary responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain the Project Controls Plan on assigned portfolio of projects. Establish cost and schedule control systems on assigned projects including being responsible for following functions on capital projects: cost forecasting, progressing, and scheduling. Create project spending (cash flow) projections, monitor cost and schedule progress, and take corrective actions as required Produce formal monthly project controls reports on assigned projects. Participate in industry and site benchmarking efforts.

Anticipate complex internal and external project control issues with impact on the organization; recommend innovative project controls solutions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and write in the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical skills required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May require occasional field trips or assignments to plants. This requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance. It also requires clear, close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most work is conducted in a professional business setting. Occasional field trips or assignments to the field will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and airborne particles.
