Geotechnical Staff Engineer

We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate full-time Staff Engineer to join our Geotechnical team in Columbus, Ohio.
What You Will Do:
As a Geotechnical Staff Engineer, you will be learning under a Licensed Engineer's supervision, working outdoors, and working with both your hands and your head. Your role is pivotal for both the community and business success. Coordinating field explorations, collecting soil samples, and preparing boring logs contribute vital data for infrastructure projects. Your oversight of construction activities ensures compliance with engineering standards, promoting safety. Performing engineering calculations and offering design support contributes to the technical aspects, ensuring structural integrity. Your involvement in proposal preparation and technical reports communicates project details effectively. Providing project and client support through clear communication fosters client satisfaction and confidence. Your work safeguards community infrastructure stability and contributes to business success by enhancing the company's reputation and potential for securing future projects.
Who You Are:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering, or Geology
- You have basic working knowledge of construction plans and specifications
- You are willing and able to routinely lift 40 to 50lbs
- You are willing and able to travel for out-of-town assignments as needed
