The Role: Consulting Analyst
The Team: Automotive Insights - Consulting - Dealer Network Development. We help the world's largest automotive manufacturers optimize their retail location footprint, market coverage and sales penetration.
The Impact: SPGI is seeking an analytical mind who can connect the dots between data assets and work directly with clients to answer their business questions and support the delivery of bespoke projects.

Responsibilities:
- Connect the dots between S&P Global's industry-leading data assets and forecasts to answer our clients' most pressing business questions. This includes processing and analyzing of data, conducting market research, and building customized metrics.
- Support the formal presentation of recommendations back to client stakeholders through the creation of map outputs and development of custom reports.
- Utilize GIS technology to perform location planning analysis.
- Provide insight into workflow documentation and improvements.
- Become an expert in the future challenges facing automotive retailing and stay well informed of the latest industry trends.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in GIS / Geomatics, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Business Informatics, or similar
- Experience in Automotive would be beneficial, though not essential. This position is open for new graduates.
- Strong analytical skills; passion for data and uncovering insight; and experience handling large datasets
- Knowledge of GIS concepts and software (preferably ESRI ArcGIS)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Alteryx and Tableau software skills preferable
- Effective time keeping & organizational skills
- The ability to work independently & pro-actively in a global team
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Independent learning and accountability
