The Role: Lead Software Engineer

The Team:

Primary mandate of the CIQ Platform team is to maintain the performance and stability of the Capital IQ platform which is very critical to the continued success of the Desktop business. As we continue to monitor platform health, items are identified that require further optimization to ensure our production systems remain healthy and we provide uninterrupted service to our clients​.

  • Ensure that the CIQ Platform is substantially stabilized ​

  • Plan critical Maintenance activities ​

  • Execute required enhancement of features and modernizations of technology/infrastructure​

  • Improve DR RTO / RPO & build foundation for later phases​

  • Provide round the clock support (both for Internal and External Users)

  • Ensure the Platform is scalable for the increased usage growth, modernize where necessary, perform mandatory maintenance, BAU and general systems upkeeping. Improve Disaster Recovery/High Availability posture and ultimately migrate the CiQ platform to Cloud.

Much of our time is spent migrating the platform to cloud, containerizing apps to EKS, so you must have strong design skills to create robust solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software based on business requirements, workflows and use cases; execute and maintain the test cases and document test results.

  • Cloud Migration of CIQ infrastructure and legacy technologies .

  • Drive the setup, configuration, and maintenance of environment and framework.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures by analyzing reported bugs/issues with a strong emphasis on using automation to shorten the SDLC.

  • Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in Agile software development environment

  • Mentoring & providing technical guidance to team members.

  • Provide effective communication regarding issues, testing status and potential risks.

  • Eager to learn new technologies and approaches and be part of a very progressive test team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience building web applications and experience with this .NET technologies(C#, .NET Framework 4.0 and above, MsSQL, Jquery, javascript, GIT, AWS windows support and automation).

  • Experience implementing: Web Services (with WCF, RESTful JSON, SOAP, TCP), Windows Services, and Unit Tests

  • Have good experience working with SQL Server.

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as React.Js

  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test- driven development.

  • Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting skills

  • Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience with containerization using Docker,App2 container, Kubernetes is a plus

  • Experience with large scale messaging systems such as Kafka is a plus

  • The anticipated U.S. salary range for this role would be $100,00 to $145,000. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the applicant.
