Job Description:

• Knowledge on core concepts of DB2 LUW.
• Extensive experience with planning, documenting and performing upgrades and migration, setting up new database environments.
• Experience in problem analysis and troubleshooting database related issues.
• Provide performance tuning support to development teams for resolving issues with space usage, stored procedures, SQL Tuning and application monitoring.
• Analyze and tune SQL statements and indexes; make performance recommendations to development teams.
• Understand metadata, metrics, trending, and automation.
• Advanced scripting skills required.
• Advise developers for best practice, rollout implementation support.
• Work with vendor for tuning recommendations.
• Implement fixpacks and security patches when required.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
• Knowledge on DB2 HADR, HACMP. Qreplication knowledge is preffered.
• Monitor production databases and dbm settings, adjusting for optimal performance and throughput.
• Configure DB2 Connect Server and Client and install ODBC drivers
