Position Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Manager the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of production tooling and fixtures including repairs and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Responsible for mold maintenance, i.e. repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Must be able to disassemble and reassemble mold components
  • Must be able to do complete tool changes
  • Must have a particular area of expertise; e.g., MIG & TIG welding, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical
  • Is conscientious, and follows all plant Quality Teams’ requirements
  • Must be available on an “ON-CALL” basis
  • Operate basic maintenance machinery, band saws, drill press, lathe, grinders, etc.
  • Trouble shoot issues with tooling
  • Change dies
  • Provide own tools
  • Operate a forklift
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (5S)
  • Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures (5S) i.e. production floor, shipping & receiving office and warehouse as needed
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required


Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc:

  • Must have High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 5 years of related experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a safe working environment
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must maintain housekeeping/5S
  • MIG & TIG Welding & Mill Experience
  • Fabrication and Basic Mechanical Maintenance
  • Crane Operation preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to hear, talk, walk, stand, bend and sit, use hands to finger, handle hand tools and production equipment
  • Work in a production setting

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus to work
