POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of your job is to transport residents to and from scheduled appointments, activity functions, and in emergency transport situations as directed. You will also work as a STNA, providing a safe environment, giving emotional and social support, and attending to the resident's physical needs and comfort. You will perform direct care to the residents as assigned, in accordance with the resident’s care plan, and as directed by your Supervisor. Follows all regulatory and safety policies.
Education & Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Current registry of certification to work as a Nursing Assistant in good standing within the applicable laws of the state in which you work, or otherwise possesses the requirements to work as a Nursing Assistant under the laws of that state.
- Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid driver license in good standing as determined by the Community and must be a minimum of twenty-five (25) years of age.
- Must possess and demonstrate the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions.
- Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and Community staff in the performance of duties.
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
- Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exams, if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other employees.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
