Maintenance Supervisor: The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery onsite. They manage a team of maintenance professionals and regularly inspect and maintain equipment, execute work as necessary and assign workers to various projects.
Duties include:
- Ensures preventive maintenance is performed
- Ensures machine breakdowns are repaired
- Ensures current and accurate record of maintenance
- Ensures all relevant manufacturer modifications and updates are performed/installed
- Ensures a sound spare part warehouse and availability of spare parts
- Maintains good housekeeping
- Ensures all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures
- Ensures the team works together as efficiently as possible
- Assesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of training
- Ensures staff are brought in to cover absenteeism and holidays
- Correctly records time and attendance of team
Performance Measures for the Maintenance Supervisor include:
- Preventive maintenance work is up to date and appropriate documentation is available
- Inventory control of parts and maintenance part control system reflects it
- Maintenance budget is maintained
- Machinery Downtime

Requirements:
- 4 year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum four years of work experience in a similar industry
- Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines
- Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Hands on experience running busy engineering department
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
