What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Sabio On Main?
We are a Michelin recognized, upscale restaurant looking for a Host with excellent communication and inviting personality to greet our guests. The Host will be in charge of answering and directing phone calls, making reservations, seating tables and offering first beverages. The host will also does help run food, clear tables, and clean menus as time allows.
To succeed as a Host, you should have an engaging and friendly personality. You should be calm and pleasant and work well under pressure.
Host Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, seating them and handling their first beverage order.
- Answer phones and take reservations.
- Communicate with servers regarding their tables/sections when needed.
- Clear and bus tables that need to be turned.
- Gain knowledge of menu in order to answer guest questions.
- Take to-go orders over the phone, including payment.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area.
Host Requirements:
- Food Handler Card/Servsafe Certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter with an eye for detail
