What are the responsibilities and job description for the TacMobile Project Manager position at Sabre Systems?
Sabre Systems is currently hiring for a TacMobile Project Manager to support one of our government customers located at Patuxent River Naval Station, MD. The TacMobile Project Manager will apply project principles to investigate, analyze, develop, implement, test, or evaluate Navy C5I and weapon systems. The selected candidate will review and prepare project and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. They will apply project experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management and analyze designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon systems, associated support systems, or management information systems. As the TacMobile Project Manager, you will ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts. Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects. Create and manage Software End Items for Domestic and FMS customers.
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in engineering, computer science or information systems. (ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: an AS or AA degree in engineering and eight (12) years of experience in engineering management and supervision of a project in systems engineering or the design of or field service of naval command and control, communication systems or other designated field.)
- Seven (7) years of experience management and supervision of a project in systems engineering or the design of or field service of naval command and control, communication systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series).
- Experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military programs is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the US Navy's Carrier & Air Integration Program Office (PMW 750) and Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (PMA 290) mission and customers.
- Demonstrated experience in the program/project status and schedules.
- Ability to brief and interface with Navy senior and executive leadership.
- Knowledge and Experience in the following OS's: UNIX/Linux, Red Hat, Windows
- Understanding of configuring IP address schemas and configurations.
- Ability to perform basic Bash scripting
- An Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher is required
- Must be a US Citizen
