Job Description
What will you achieve?
Develop and establish and enforce quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.
Develop and write test plans and scripts for tracing defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems and operations systems.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing including Status and Reporting.
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project team.
Communicate with all levels of internal personnel, both verbally and in writing.
Determine when issues need to be escalated to a higher level.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Logical, efficient, keen attention to detail, highly self-motivated and self-directed.
Help mentor other junior members of the quality assurance team.
Manual Testing
Develop and write test plans and scripts for tracing defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems and operations systems.
Perform the analysis of formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Determine when issues need to be escalated to a higher level.
Work independently.
Automated Testing
Create appropriate test scenarios based on software specification
Designs, creates, executes and maintains automated and manual tests
Documents detailed steps to reproduce defects
Consults with development engineers and business analysts to resolve problems
Attends status meetings and provides oral and written reports regarding work progress
May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology
Provides estimates of time and effort
Creates appropriate test data, and builds and maintains automated test suites
Monitors test execution, collects metrics, identifies coverage gaps and applies needed corrections
Maintain and Administer Test Tools (Selenium, HP UFT, HP ALM, Rally)
Performance Test (Preferred)
Provide actionable analysis to help resolve performance issues
Establishing performance best practices, designing and executing a robust performance test strategy.
Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
Actively participates in performance test execution and the development of performance testing artifacts, including: performance test requirements, defect tracking and reporting, performance test plans, cases, scripts, reports, etc. for assigned
projects.
Job Requirements
Required experience / aptitude to learn and skills:
At least six (6) years QA Experience.
Experience in test automation tools (e.g. HP UFT, Selenium)
Experience in Manual testing, creating test plans, scenarios, & detailed test cases.
Experience in Leading/supporting teams and mentoring new QA team members.
Good understanding of Agile Methodologies, Code Quality, Continuous Integration and delivery.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
