Cheese Loader

Job Summary:

This position involves operating the loading belts and staging cheese per run Follows recipes for adding correct amount of cheese and correct cheese types Retrieving cheese from coolers, emptying carboard garbage, staging loading area, unboxing and unbagging product with basic sanitation

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of color code system used for processing cheese including cheese type specifics for production
• Strict adherence to GMP, keeping area clean, refilling hand dip stations
• Strict adherence to safety/PPE protocols and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions to plant management
• Knowledge of daily run schedule
• Accurate record keeping and line specific paperwork

• Keeping track of recipes and amount of cheese and cheese type per recipe
• Staging area with appropriate product per run
• End of shift clean up, putting all product back into the cooler in appropriate locations
• Communication with line lead and packaging supervisor

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food manufacturing preferred but not required

• Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs)
• Flexibility in job roles, assisting team mates along with covering breaks when needed to meet business needs
• Meet physical demands of role, Honest and high level of Integrity, high degree of personal hygiene per GMPs, dependable attendance to meet business demands
• Ability to pivot recipes for cheese utilization when needed

Physical Requirements:

• Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, and moderate noise along with working with chemicals
