About us

SALDER MACHINE is an ISO certified, full service Machine shop that specializes in job shop (manual) machining. SADLER MACHINE also specializes in large CNC turning and milling of short run production and/or prototype parts. Other in-house departments include fabrication of weldments, CNC burn table, Blanchard grinding, stress relieving, and on-site machining. Located in Cedar Rapids, IA. SADLER MACHINE operates in a 60,000 sq. ft. climate controlled building.

Responsibilities:
- Operate saw machines to barstock and tubing according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine cutting requirements
- Set up and adjust saw blades, guides, and stops for accurate cuts
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions
- Inspect cut pieces for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Experience operating saw machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of different types of materials and their characteristics
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in industrial environment
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
