Dental Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Prepare materials for impressions and restorations - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming diagnostic casts - Maintain accurate patient records - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow Skills: - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficient in patient assessment techniques - Experience with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions (e.g., CEREC) - Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) - Ability to take and record vital signs accurately - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus - Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures is preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
