Warehousing - Warehouse Associate-FSFA
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the preparation of products for shipping to customers and receiving materials inside the warehouse.
Essential Job Functions :
- Prepare outgoing shipments to customers
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks
- Perform physical and cycle counts on products to match with the inventory system
- Report damaged product in warehouse
- Accurately pulls packs and ships products on customer orders.
- Scans all part number barcodes into AX system for internal order / product tracking.
- Maintains and verifies accuracy of each order. Corrects discrepancies as needed.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance to the 6S checklist
- Observes all safety regulations and procedures of the facility.
- Performs other assignments, as directed by source of supervision.
Required Experience :
- One (1) to three (3) years experience working in a warehouse setting.
- Computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Internet usage and e-mail.
Required Education :
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- No college degree is required for this position but would be helpful in the advancement opportunity.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- High level of motivation and efficiency.
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence / instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to use Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to recognize special instructions for Customer orders.
- Ability to be the Quality Control for Customer orders before these are shipped.
- Ability to contact proper personnel if any questions arise with Customer orders.
- Review open order backlog for shippable orders
Physical Demands :
- Lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds
- Perform some repetitive motions.
