Company Description:
Safavieh is an upscale home furnishings store that is looking to hire a designer assistant. The candidate must have a strong passion, curiosity, and understanding of home furnishings and our customers’ everyday lifestyle to fill a position at our flagship Norwalk, Connecticut location. This is a full time position.
Duties:
Assist busy staff of interior designers and sales people with design projects
Organize and maintain design center and fabric library
Keep all furniture catalogs and price lists up to date
Assist showroom manager and office manager as needed with a variety of responsibilities
Generating tags for furniture
Help tag the showroom
Filling in for receptionist
Tracking orders for designers through our in-house computer system.
Maintain and update sales materials for all vendors
Contact vendors
Attend weekly sales meeting featuring various outside vendors
Skills/Qualifications:
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Organized and have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor
Able to multi-task and keep track of multiple priorities
Knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook)
