WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Manager, Materials position works closely with the fabrication shop and the commercial installation teams of Safe Foods Chemical Innovations (“SFCI”) by ensuring adequate inventories of essential parts and materials are readily available when needed. This position will participate in meetings that receive and disseminate important information about past, current, and upcoming plant installations and plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory and cost records.
Essential functions of the position:
- Manage the team responsible for sourcing/purchasing, receiving, storing, inventorying, managing, and shipping parts and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions related to material and equipment movements.
- Coordinate with applicable departments and managers to ensure timely availability of parts and materials to meet company and customer objectives.
- Work closely with the accounting and logistics departments and communicate costs and movements of equipment and materials within the North Little Rock (“NLR”) facility and at supplier and customer locations.
- Create and maintain “costed” Bills of Materials in the D365 ERP system for equipment and sub-assemblies.
- Act as the subject-matter expert on parts and materials and provide technical expertise when requested or otherwise appropriate.
- Understand all aspects of equipment costs and provide cost information and estimates as requested, or as needed.
- Generate and manage departmental budgets.
- Monitor and manage inventory costs to preapproved budgets.
- Comply with all labeling, warehousing, and shipping regulations and guidelines.
- Provide reports as requested.
- Maintain a safe and friendly work environment.

YOUR MUST HAVES:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (“GED”)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience using Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and be proficient in using the internet to locate and purchase equipment and materials (general knowledge and casual use of these programs will not suffice).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team or department.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments while maintaining adherence to schedules and deadlines.
- Independently source, negotiate prices for, and arrange shipping to the proper destination all inventory items.
- Engage in tasks requiring manual labor, using non-mechanized material handling equipment, climbing ladders, opening, and sealing cartons and crates, and safely lifting and handling parts, equipment, materials, and other work-related objects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in person and electronically.
- Extremely detailed oriented, conscientious, and organized.
- Work independently, comfortably, and successfully with minimum supervision.
