Boat Rental Cleaning Attendant

The Boat Rental Cleaning Attendant will perform a variety of cleaning activities as it relates exclusively to the houseboat and pontoon rental operation. This may include both interior and exterior preparation of the units for rental guests.  Pay differential for houseboat cleaning vs. land based housekeeping positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean and sanitize houseboats
• Sweep, vacuum, mop and scrub 
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Operate company vehicles and equipment
• Upkeep of houseboats and rental property
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Restock restrooms, linen rooms and common areas when appropriate
• Notify rental and service managers of any necessary repairs 
• Reports directly to executive housekeeping lead and is under the supervision of the rental manager
• Available to work overtime when required
• Other duties as assigned by Manager(s)

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.  

Technical and Physical Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred
• Previous marina experience a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with continual bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, sitting, and repetitive motion
• Ability to maintain  a professional appearance and interact positively with guests
• Ability to work with common cleaning supplies
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
