What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at Safe Harbor Marinas?
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility. This role is required to manage, direct, supervise and perform maintenance services within the marina.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, direct, supervise and perform maintenance services for the marina and associated facilities
- Supervise Facilities Assistance (Maintenance) employees and sub-contractors
- Responsible for interior and exterior maintenance, dock, boatyard and associated asset repairs, and grounds keeping
- Perform all general repair and maintenance related to the marina
- Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and cleaning
- Maintain landscaping as required
- Developing and maintaining effective, friendly, professional working relationships with staff, members, guests and vendors
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Technical and Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2-5 years’ marina experience preferred
- Ability to work safely around the water
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Basic boat handling skills preferred
- Knowledge of dock construction and repair preferred
- Knowledge of basic power tools preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
