Claims Assistant
SAFE, LLC is an energetic business located in Camillus, NY that provides management of Workers’ Compensation claims. This position provides all hands-on training to learn how to successfully assist the claims adjusters in their handling of their claims paired with the opportunity to grow within the company to become a licensed claims adjustor!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Attend and participate in all requisite onsite training.
- Assist claim adjusters daily with multiple assigned tasks, such as completing and processing Workers’ Compensation forms.
- Answer phone and e-mail inquiries with proper information
- Process expense/legal bills from vendors for payment
- Review and audit claimant requests for mileage reimbursement
- Address outgoing mail to claimants, attorneys, providers etc.
- General clerical duties, including ingoing and outgoing mail.
Qualifications:
- Good people skills, including willingness to answer phones and speak with claimants and medical providers throughout the day.
- Comfortable use of the computer database to look up and search information.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide positive office experience.
- This is only an in-office job.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
