Sr. Mortgage Loan Processor | Sage Home Loans

Sage Home Loans Corporation is seeking a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our rapidly growing Mortgage business. Sage provides an unparalleled digital experience combined with human interaction to make a seamless and easy mortgage loan process for our customers. In this role, you will play an integral part in the loan process from pre-approval to closing. 

What You'll Do:

• Accurately package a pipeline of loans that are funneled to you by our team of Mortgage Loan Originators and ensure timely and proactive communication with the borrowers.
• Handle all loan documentation and meeting deadlines.
• Determine creditworthiness of the borrowers by gathering and calculating necessary credit reports, qualifying ratios, income and expense data, employment documentation and property values.
• Responsible for processing of more complex loans such as Self-Employed, Government, Bond, CEMA, DPA’s, etc.
• Establish strong upfront relationships with the borrower and work closely with them throughout the loan origination process.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues in the origination process.
• Provide feedback to the management team on technical and operational improvements and present alternative operating models to enhance conversion.
• Verify and analyze all necessary financial information and documentation from pre-approval to closing; ensure loan files are complete and accurate with all necessary credit and legal documents to satisfy underwriting conditions.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external teams throughout the loan process.

What We're Looking For:

• 3 years previous experience actively managing a pipeline of loans
• Deep understanding of the mortgage loan process and types of loans available
• Experience processing FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and Jumbo residential mortgages
• Thorough knowledge of conventional and government underwriting product guidelines
• Ability to process test cases to gain underwriting signing authority for clearing of low-mid level conditions
• Proactive and engaging communication with an ability to thoughtfully guide borrowers through the loan process.
• Highly organized and have the ability to solve problems autonomously
