As a part-time janitor/porter, you'll join our team of passionate individuals who work towards providing the best laundry experience in the area. We're on a mission to have the cleanest landromat in the area and need someone passionate about keeping things spick and span.

This part-time role is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to earn extra income in a flexible working environment. It's ideal for someone living in the greater Arden area who wants to work 6 to 10 hours per week as supplemental income.

Our janitorial staff is an important part of creating the Sage Laundry experience which is a huge part of our success. The right candidate will thrive in an independent working environment and take pride in creating the cleanest laundromat in Sacramento.

Janitor/Porter Position

As a janitor/porter, you'll help make sure the laundromat is sparkly clean by coming in 3-4 nights per week for 2 to 3 hours each shift. Some of your responsibilities will include.

• Maintain a safe environment throughout the laundromat
• Utilize specialized tools and products to perform deep clean and disinfection
• Clean dryer lint traps
• Clean bathroom
• Take out trash
• Sweep and mop floors
• Dust machines and furniture
• Clean and wipe down furniture (desk, chairs, tables)
• Clean and polish washers and dryers
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned

Our attendants clean the laundromat throughout the day so you will be supplementing their work to leave things spotless for the next morning.

This shift begins at 7PM. The role is shared by two people who cover the shift 7 nights a week.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Prior experience in janitorial or cleaning positions
• Effectively communicate (verbal and writing skills) in English
• Lift and carry up to 45 lbs
• Ability to learn how to use cleaning chemicals
• Good attitude towards customers and other team members
• Walk and stand up throughout entire shift
• Use hands and fingers and be able to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation starts at $17 per hour and can be as high as $20 per hour based upon experience and qualifications. Other benefits include paid sick leave and free machine usage for personal laundry upon satisfactory completion of a probationary period.
