Position Purpose
The Director of Property Operations & Engineering oversees the physical operations of Sages 3 million square foot commercial office space portfolio. The position is responsible for ensuring all Sage properties are protected, operated, enhanced, and maintained to the Sage standards. The position is responsible for all property staff and property systems to meet optimal performance and to help maximize overall portfolio performance and profitability.
With a minimum of 15 years in the real estate industry, this person will have specific leadership experience in commercial property management with a large portfolio. This person will be able to add value at the executive management team level from a broad perspective, not just property management and engineering. In addition, this person will be able to work successfully within all departments to meet the goals and objectives of Sage and the property management department.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business or related field required, MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Minimum of 15 years of commercial real estate experience
- Required strong financial acumen and experience preparing budgets and other types of asset-based related financial deliverables.
- Must have strong background overseeing the operational excellence for a multi-asset organization.
- Proficient in MS Office products and property management software (Yardi preferred)
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however it may require the ability to lift files or other objects (up to 15 pounds). Travel for this position will be frequent among our properties across Manhattan.
