Technician

Job Overview:

A maintenance technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, the installations HVAC and, the upkeep of the landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and calibration of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to include preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Establish and execute the plant's preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records, and provide trend information to the Plant Manager.
• Prepare and maintain various reports and records using Computerized Maintenance

• Management System; verifying the completion of all maintenance work and provide historical information for future maintenance planning.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement programs, which maximize the efficiency of maintenance and machine work and reduce future maintenance requirements. Ensure these new methods are implemented through updating of maintenance procedures and training.
• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for the team to ensure appropriate skill sets are achieved and maintained. This includes programs that cover operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory areas.
• Develop activities that provide a work environment that promotes effective goal accomplishment,

• productivity and morale, and safety awareness.
• Oversee and assist the activities of maintenance personnel in performing maintenance and repair activities in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company policies, procedures and the
• station maintenance manual and technical specifications.
• Review work orders for completeness and accuracy and ensure that work orders are properly entered and closed out in the system.
• Determine project maintenance requirements by helping implement the preventive maintenance programs, evaluate maintenance work requests and coordinate manpower needs, work
• prioritization, parts procurement and equipment scheduled outages.
• Participate in the maintenance of the project operating and maintenance manuals, technical references, prints and diagrams and preventive/predictive maintenance records.
• Coordinate maintenance project activities by scheduling work, monitoring performance, and providing technical expertise and direction to ensure that work is performed in a safe, timely and productive manner.
• Develop and administer contracts and work scope for external contractors to ensure maximum efficiency in the use of plant and contractor personnel.
• Provide maintenance training for the operating shift technicians by presenting instruction on job related skills and proper equipment repair procedures. Ensure that safety is built into each job assigned and that work is performed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Coordinate maintenance work interfaces with other project departments to accomplish repairs in a timely and safe manner.
• Assist with the screening and hiring of maintenance personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
