We are looking for an industry-experienced, solutions focused Sales Engineer (Power, Thermal & Battery) to cover the Mid-Atlantic Region. Long Island, 5 boroughs of NY, West Chester and Rockland Counties, NJ, Eastern PA, DE, MD and VA. The Sales Engineer will grow power, thermal and battery sales in the region by cultivating current customers and developing new customers to advance power supply, thermal and battery opportunities. The qualified candidate should be professional, ethical, have strong follow through skills and possess a strong technical background. How you will spend your time:
- The Sales Engineer will work with customers from the design cycle through the production cycle to secure new power, thermal and battery business.
- The Sales Engineer will assist the inside team with additional qualification support for all power, thermal and battery products.
- Support the local sales team in the design and pursuit of power, thermal, battery and application engineering products.
- The Sales Engineer will provide new products and technology updates to customers and local sales team.
- Capture power supply and battery registration design-wins for Sager Custom Solutions and its suppliers.
- The Sales Engineer will develop relationships with local rep groups, manufacturers’ and regional sales team.
- The Sales Engineer will communicate market trends and customer activity using our opportunity tracking system.
- Attend technical trainings at our suppliers and service center locations.
- The Sales Engineer will participate in assigned customer’s plans and setting sales growth plans.
We’re excited if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering.
- The Sales Engineer should have hands on/back room design engineering work experience.
- The Sales Engineer should have at least two years of experience successfully promoting and selling power, thermal and/or batteries as a commodity to customers.
- The ability to work with engineering and support customers with the power supply, thermal and battery selection process.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- The Sales Engineer should be comfortable presenting to the customer while listening and providing solutions.
