Position: Driver II
Status: Regular-Part Time (at least 40 hours each 2 week period)
Classification/Salary: Starting at $13.77 / hour

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Performs human support work transporting senior passengers. This position drives vehicle transporting elderly
passengers from residence to various community facilities as scheduled; may drive vehicle for field trips and
recreational activities.
- Operates wheelchair lift mechanism and assists passengers in and out of vehicle and with personal
destination.
- Transports mail, equipment, and supplies from one location to another.
- Keeps records of vehicle usage, performs routine vehicle maintenance and daily/weekly safety checks,
clients who utilize the service.
MINIMUM OR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school Diploma or GED
Experience: Must have at least one year of experience driving a bus, van, or other commercial vehicle.
✓ Must possess a Chauffeur’s license with the State of Michigan upon hire and have a valid license in the State
of Michigan.
✓ Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications within 6 months of hire.
✓ Any appropriate combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and
abilities will be considered; however, mandatory licensing or certification requirements cannot be waived.
Physical/mental requirements cannot be waived unless specifically indicated.
