Description
SAIC is looking for a Hazmat Coordinator in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Maintain WXS Hazardous Material inventory.
- Ensure all codes, regulations, policies, and procedures are executed
- Identify potential hazards in the proposed storage or handling of hazardous materials
- Request and received quotes for HazMat materials
- Update SDS material locker catalogs
- Complete Hazardous Collection Sheets
- Attended Quarterly Hazardous Materials Coordinator Meetings
- Place orders for HazMat
- Receive HazMat in from placed orders
- Input and update procurements in WXS Division Database
- Complete Form DD 1348 for disposal of materials
- Conduct Daily (2x) Spot checks for expired material, verify min/max quantities, establish reorder points based on those min/max quantities while taking into consideration the acquisition and product lead time.
- Validate inventory sheets and create a database to track expiring shelf lives
- Conduct Quarterly - Pull SDS books and validate/update/remove sheets as necessary.
- Validate that relevant documents have the correct form numbers on them and lockers have the correct POC information.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree in related discipline and two (2) years or more of related experience; Or, High School and four (4) years of related experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret needed to start
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Databases)
- Previous Engineering Technician experience
