SAIC is the sole provider of Systems and Software Assurance Services to the NASA IV&V Program located in Fairmont, West Virginia. At the NASA IV&V Facility, we support NASA's IV&V Program, delivering analysis and verification & validation of safety-critical and mission-critical software for a number of important NASA programs, including both human and robotic exploration as well as earth and space science collection platforms.
SAIC is seeking a management support team member to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is in support of the NASA Systems and Software Assurance Services 2 (SAS2) Program. The successful candidate will provide technical writing assistance and guidance across the program, assist project management personnel in administrative functions, and serve as a business analyst to help define and document various business processes. Specific support will include:
Project management assistance
- Support the Project Lead in the development of planning and scoping products
- Keep project management products up-to-date during project execution
- Support the generation, synthesis and distribution of project status reports
- Assist the Project Lead in other administrative responsibilities
Technical writing/editing
- Review technical reports and other content for clarity of conclusions and message, proper grammar, and effective style
- Collaborate with workforce in becoming better writers
- Coordinate with other technical writing resources within SAIC and partners to improve the capability and capacity of the state-of-the-practice within the SAS program
Business process analysis
- Support the definition of requirements and testing of tools needed by project teams
- Aid project teams in the development and documentation of business processes
- Assist in the socialization and training in the use of employing documented business processes
Other administrative and process analysis functions as needed
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience
CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance
BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to analyze business, technical and customer data, especially to understand and communicate engineering and business processes, and clearly communicate technical conclusions
- Ability to use advanced features of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and collaborating in a hybrid work environment
- Ability to support development of presentations, reports, research, and other contract deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Ability to develop high quality products on time, particularly the ability to present data intensive material as information
- Proven ability with time management; develops high quality products on time, every time
- Ability to work in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills
