Description

SAIC is seeking a Public Relations Manager to join our team providing messaging development to drive consistency in communicating the SAIC narrative to external stakeholders. This position reports to the Senior Director, Public Relations and is fully remote.

Primary job responsibilities include:

• Write/edit compelling and accurate messaging; emphasis on press releases, thought leadership and other media content (ex: Op Ed)
• Implement company PR strategy to drive interest and engagement with media and other target external stakeholders
• Proactively position spokespeople for thought-leadership opportunities with key media
• Take part in public relations synchronization meetings/efforts to manage corporate oversight and influence across segments
• Partner with peer communicators to lead integrated, cross-segment/function communications campaigns/initiatives
• Collaborate across comms/business functions to drive significant company events/activities – ensuring efforts follow specified processes and procedures
• Prepare spokespersons for media interviews and presentations
• Provide issues/crisis and other communications support as needed
• Monitor industry trends; recommend best-practice media strategies and tactics
• Establish solid relations and trust across all levels of the company

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related field with 10 years work experience, 5 years of prior experience in communications, public relations/agency experience, or comparable communications experience, or Masters with 8 years experience.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent AP style knowledge
• Lead cross-functional teams in a supportive and collaborative team environment
• Trusted to manage confidential information
• Comfortable working across all staff levels and business functions

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
