Description
SAIC is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to direct support to a government Testing Lead on a software development Product Line at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Quality Assurance Analyst will assist with coordination of all testing activities (software quality assurance, user acceptance testing, performance, security, etc.) for projects and software builds in the Product Line, to include development of test plans and test scripts, and provide basic administrative support for the VA Test Lead.
This role is 100% remote!
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, document, and support testing and software quality assurance activities for a large-scale software development Product Lien
- Collaborate with software quality assurance, enterprise testing services, security, 508 compliance, development, end-user, user acceptance, and performance testing teams to develop and implement a holistic approach for all software testing needs
- Gather data to produce and maintain a Master Test Plan (MTP) for the program
- Review test case and test scripts for quality and compliance
- Maintain all test artifacts in Jira and perform quality control reviews.
- Support the management and coordination of individual releases of software, hardware, or other system components.
- Support release planning activities, capture and mitigate risks, and maintain the schedule of planned releases.
- Create and implement a detailed plan to ensure overall quality of all releases
- Develop processes to assure the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of essential tools.
- Facilitate executive-level virtual meetings; prepare meeting agenda, capture meeting minutes, and track outcomes and action items
- Work proactively and independently to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Effectively create and maintain database tables, queries, and procedures, as required
- Plan, monitor, and control relevant tasks outlined in the contract and statement of work
- Maintain knowledge of Federal budget rules and regulations
- Function as part of an integrated team sharing products, best practices, and information across the portfolio
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline and 3 of experience required; 5 years of experience highly preferred; an additional 8 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of education.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance based on the Department of Veteran Affairs regulations.
Required Skills:
- Testing or quality assurance experience
- Experience with Jira or other applicable agile work management tools
- Experience working as a contractor or employee of the Federal government
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with brevity and clarity
- Expert command of the Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

Target salary range: $65,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
