We are currently seeking talented, detail-oriented, and career-minded Systems Engineers to leverage their technical expertise to support the design, development, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment of complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and manipulation of extremely large data sets) for a Mission customer. Your talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to enhancing intelligence collection and analysis applications and systems of national importance.
Responsibilities include:
Support all aspects of software systems development lifecycle, including, but not limited to, requirements solicitation and analysis; architecture; design; prototype; development; integration and test; deployment; and operations and maintenance of unique analytical tools to enable the manipulation of extremely large data sets and real-time systems
Conduct analysis of alternatives (AoA) to support the recommendation of approaches, standards, tools, and technologies for development of new analytics, applications, and systems
Collaborate with various engineering teams to support requirements definition, integration & test, and deployment of newly developed capabilities
Facilitate project planning, and configuration, decision, quality, and risk management
Support the design, development, and integration of software applications and systems, using scientific analysis, statistical analysis, and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
Analyze application and system performance standards; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
Design complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints
Qualifications Principal Systems Engineer role:
Required qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline. Relevant course work completed must include systems engineering process/lifecycle (e.g., requirements analysis, design, development, component testing, integration, integration testing, deployment/installation, and sustainment).
Nine or more (9 ) years of relevant systems engineering experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Desired qualifications:
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline
Software engineering and development experience
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
