Description
SAIC is seeking multiple, Fully Remote, Telecommunication Engineers to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program to track tickets, gather customer requirements, request quotes on costs of products and/or services from our vendors, and monitor delivery of services.
NOTE: This position is 100% Fully Remote / Work from Home position; must be located anywhere in the CONUS area.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Work directly with service providers to provide high-performance connectivity solutions for USACE wired (copper, fiber) and wireless network topologies (WiFi, cellular, microwave, SATCOM).
- Support customer requirements analysis to ensure appropriate services and capacity are provided to USACE customers
- Coordinate and assist in scheduling and performing circuit installs for data, voice, LTE, and satellite services.
- Provide transport network infrastructure planning and design solutions on all network issues supporting USACE.
- Requires an understanding of data transport technologies. These technologies include SDWAN, MPLS, satellite, LTE, voice services, and terrestrial data services.
- Provide professional support and interaction with all USACE customers.
- Must have the ability to multitask and work in a highly fluid environment responding to changes quickly and efficiently.
- Provide reporting to project managers and supervisors as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and zero (0) years or more of related experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience working with networking technologies and the ability to explain those technologies to the customer such as Software-defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), satellite, Cellular LTE, voice services, and terrestrial data services
- Experience with designing network solutions based on customer requirements
- Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ticketing system
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain Interim Secret/ Secret Clearance. SAIC will help obtain
