The Equipment Service Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to planning, organizing and prioritizing vehicle and equipment service and repairs in a cost efficient, timely manner to reduce downtime and lost productivity.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and prioritizes vehicles and equipment for service and repairs by coordinating work with internal employees(mechanics and parts runners) and/or external contractors or vendors and preparing workorders to address issues and maintain workflow to ensure all work is done in a safe and timely manner while reducing downtime and lost productivity.
Supervises emergency, unscheduled repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment as needed.
Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with the site management personnel to accomplish required equipment maintenance repairs on time and within budget.
Documents work performed on equipment by entering workorder information into Vista.
Responsible for procurement of supplies, materials, and parts for vehicle and equipment repairs.
Prepares invoices with proper cost coding for routing approval.
Prepares and sends out a detailed daily activity list to a defined distribution group based on calls received throughout the day and mechanics’ workorders.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures all established Company safety rules, procedures, policies, DOT, OSHA and MSHA regulations are followed.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficiency with all necessary technological tools, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and Outlook with the ability to use other software, as necessary.
Experience with ERP software. Vista preferred.
Minimum of five years equipment maintenance and equipment dispatch experience, or equivalent course of technical training and/or related experience in the construction industry.
Previous experience in E parts books, SIS parts books, Mack etc.
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize project performance.
Meticulous attention to detail, high capacity for multi-tasking, strong work ethic
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before clients, management, subcontractors, and vendors of the organization.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Able to effectively organize numerous streams of information.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Minimum High school education or GED.
Technical or Vocational School certificate preferred.
Five to seven years of experience supervising service and repair of vehicles and heavy equipment in the construction industry, dealership setting or mining industry.
