What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSOCIATE CHANNEL MANAGER position at Saint-Gobain?
This position is responsible for contributing in channel strategy and implementation plans for the Retail marketing team for ADFORS America. The incumbent will develop merchandising, evaluating cost & market requirements, training and working as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver complete, market-ready products.
The Associate Channel Manager will work closely with the Product Manager, Construction Products to implement the retail marketing strategy by providing products to develop categories that meet the needs of contractors and DIYers in the home center, hardware, paint and building material channels. This person will facilitate new product introductions at the customer level and ensure they are executed successfully by working with sales and marketing teams across the business, and take a project leadership role in product line reviews. Monitoring key metrics to track results and provide regular reports on projects is another important aspect of this role.
The incumbent must understand the activities needed to support retail products, including promotions, merchandising, pricing structure, training and market collateral. Evaluate existing products to ensure viability and develop plans, as appropriate, to address new business opportunities. They will also maintain items within retailer systems to ensure information is accurate and optimized for customer use and eCommerce listings.
Additionally, the position will be responsible for solving product problems, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and implementing corrective actions while analyzing quality assurance programs to prioritize customer needs. The position requires demonstrated capability to manage projects and relationships, both critical facets of the position.
This position requires travel for customer visits and the incumbent will maintain a flexible schedule to support the business.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field is required. Two plus years of experience in a manufacturing organization in sales, marketing, or product development experience is required. The incumbent must have an understanding of the activities needed to support retail products, promotions, merchandising, and pricing structure for building material products. Professionalism and the ability to manage projects and relationships is essential, as the incumbent will be representing Saint-Gobain ADFORS in business dealings and with suppliers throughout the world. Experience working in an SAP environment is preferred.
