The Master Scheduler is responsible for the supervision of the scheduling and planning of the work orders for manufacturing operations, accountable for the development, maintenance and execution of the master production schedule. The incumbent works closely with plant supervision and team members to monitor material, equipment, machine and personnel resources. Assists in the manufacturing, implementation, efficiency, and effectiveness of new, end of life and existing products. Ensures production demands are met while maintaining a safe workplace for employees. Responsible for leading the coordination of varied multiple activities to ensure the production of high performance products with the quality, delivery, and cost to meet customer’s requirements. This employee will need to direct, train and coach direct reports.
This person works with customer service and product managers to achieve a usable forecast, focus on special orders and a forward look of the business requirements for a period of at least 12 months.
He/she identifies constraints and schedules new orders to most effectively utilize plant resources. He/she provides feedback to supervision on changes or events that effect the production environment, maintains the production schedule to reflect change, and recommends actions relative to lead times. The objectives of this position are based on continuous improvements in on-time delivery, cycle time reduction and cost avoidance.
Working with the Supply Chain Manager, this person will also support efforts to identify, implement, and train Production Planners on new functionalities within QAD and other systems to improve the efficiency and accuracy of information of the production planning process.

An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree - Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
- 3 years experience - In Supply Chain, Purchasing, Scheduling with the understanding of manufacturing lead time, process, sub-contract operations and MRP/ERP knowledge
- 3 years experience - Supervisory experience in materials/production scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Coaching, developing, leading others and managing performance
- 3 years experience - Inventory control and forecasting
