What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Counselor position at Saint Mary's School?
St. Mary School is accepting applications for a school counselor for the 2021-2022 school year. The position is 2 days per week, 14-16 hours with flexible scheduling. The school counselor is responsible for supporting and upholding the philosophy of Catholic education and the Mission of the school, acting as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church and facilitating a positive, effective, and welcoming counseling experience. This includes but is not limited to tasks such as new student groups, availability for student counseling, collaboration with staff, adhering to and upholding the school discipline policy, and maintaining parent communication. Ideal candidates would be faithful Catholics, have school counseling experience, and skills in working with children.
