Controller

We are looking for a Controller to develop accounting policies and oversee all financial procedures of our company. Responsible for overseeing all balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Duties also include supervision of current accounting associates and department operations, compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business

· Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs

· Maintain compliance for company financials to remain in good legal standing

· Prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and other financial reports

· Complete balance sheet reconciliations

· Work with an external accounting firm for tax prep and filling

· Manage all accounting operations including Collections, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

· Creating and preparing financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting

· Ad hoc reporting

Education/Experience/Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· Minimum 5 years of accounting/financial analysis experience

· Must be highly computer literate, have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills

· Requires deadline-driven, high-energy individual, able to work autonomously

· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Quickbooks and Outlook

Preferred Skills

· Previous Accounting experience in the Roofing or Construction industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
